Our Story
First Generation Family-Owned Farm
A Family Farm with Deep Roots and a Big Vision
Wright Land & Cattle Co. is a family-owned and operated farm nestled in the rolling hills of Gainesville, Georgia. Run by Brett, Amy, and their two daughters, Hannah and Karli, their small but robust operation is built on hard work, integrity, and a deep love for the land. They are working towards specializing in raising quality cattle with strong genetics, producing premium pasture-raised beef, and offering land services and authentic farm experiences that connect people to agriculture and the Southern way of life.
Our Story
Wright Land & Cattle Co. began with a bold leap — when the Wright family decided to ditch the neighborhood life and move to a farm in Gainesville, Georgia in November of 2012. The shift was sparked by Hannah and Karli’s growing involvement with horses, which quickly evolved from a casual interest into a competitive passion.
What started as a simple hobby soon turned into a full-blown lifestyle. The family found themselves building pastures and barns, buying and selling horses, and spending nearly every weekend traveling across the South to compete in the sport of eventing. Along the way, they made plenty of mistakes — the kind that only life (and livestock) can teach — but each one brought growth, grit, and a deeper love for the land.
After years of competition, both girls headed off to college, and the family sold the last of their horses. The farm grew quiet. But that stillness didn’t last long. With the same spirit that launched their first adventure, the Wrights felt the pull to build again — to create something lasting, meaningful, and grounded in their shared love of agriculture.
That’s when Wright Land & Cattle Co. was born, with a simple goal: to raise exceptional livestock, provide trustworthy land services, produce honest, local beef, and share the beauty of farm life with others.
Meet the Family
Brett Wright - "Brettie"
Brett graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in Poultry Science. After moving to Georgia with Amy, he co-owned several Moe’s Southwest Grill restaurants while also working in the poultry industry. Eventually, he chose to step away from restaurant ownership to spend more time with his young family and continue his career in poultry. Today, Brett works in sales as the Director of Business Development in the poultry sector. His industry knowledge and business experience bring strategic vision and stability to Wright Land & Cattle Co., where he remains actively involved in all things behind the scenes.
Amy Wright - "A-Dawg"
Amy earned both her B.S. in Communication Disorders and her Master’s in Speech and Language Pathology before working in the Hall County school system while raising Hannah and Karli. As the girls grew older, Amy transitioned to managing daily operations on the farm full time — ensuring everything runs smoothly from pasture to barn. In 2024, she took a particular interest in Highland cattle, which ultimately sparked the family’s decision to enter the cattle business. Amy is the organizational heart of the farm and keeps the entire operation in tip-top shape.
Hannah Wright - "Hannie"
Hannah holds a B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Arkansas and is currently attending the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. With a deep interest in large animal reproduction, her long-term vision is to open her own veterinary practice right out of the family farm — offering much-needed services to the local agricultural community. Hannah’s hands-on experience and passion for rural veterinary care make her an essential part of the future of Wright Land & Cattle Co.
Karli Wright - "Kar Kar"
Karli is currently attending the University of Arkansas, where she’s earning her B.S. in Agricultural Business. In addition to working on the farm, Karli is the founder of Wild Grace, a clothing brand focused on creating high-quality hunting apparel for women — born out of her own frustration with the lack of options in the field. She’s also working toward her realtor’s license, adding a unique skillset and adventurous spirit to everything she does. Karli brings creativity, drive, and entrepreneurial energy to the farm and beyond.
